Terms of Service

1. Agreement and Eligibility

By creating an account or using Hytale Depot, you agree to these Terms of Service and all referenced platform policies.

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity performed from your account.

You may not use the platform for unlawful activity, abuse, fraud, malware distribution, account hijacking, or attempts to bypass licensing and access controls.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the platform. Minors must have parent or guardian permission where required by law.

2. Marketplace Use

Listings may include free, one-time, subscription, and pay-what-you-want products depending on creator configuration.

Purchases grant usage rights defined by the listing license. Ownership of intellectual property is not transferred unless explicitly stated.

Downloads, license checks, and anti-piracy controls are security-sensitive operations and may be rate-limited, delayed, or blocked if risk controls are triggered.

3. User Conduct

You must not upload harmful files, hidden backdoors, stolen assets, or misleading content.

You must not attempt to reverse engineer paid protections, bypass license validation, or redistribute paid content without permission.

You must not scrape private data or access information you are not authorized to view.

Automated access outside approved APIs, credential sharing, and account-evasion behavior are prohibited unless explicitly authorized.

Use of VPNs, proxies, Tor, or other anonymizing services is prohibited while accessing the platform. Connections detected as originating from such services will be blocked automatically. If you believe your access was restricted in error, contact support.

4. Payments, Taxes, and Billing

Checkout totals may include tax/VAT based on jurisdiction and billing profile details.

Business purchases may require company name, VAT ID, and billing address for compliant invoicing.

Chargebacks, fraud, and policy abuse can result in entitlement revocation, account restriction, and payout holds.

Right of withdrawal: All listings on Hytale Depot are digital goods delivered immediately upon purchase. Before completing any paid purchase you will be asked to confirm that you request immediate delivery and that you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m)). This waiver is displayed as a mandatory checkbox at checkout and is recorded with your purchase. By checking the box and completing payment you irrevocably waive any withdrawal right for that transaction.

Creator debit on refund (Section 7.6): If a purchase is successfully refunded — including verified chargebacks that result in a refund decision — the corresponding creator payout will be reversed or withheld. If the payout has already been settled, the equivalent amount will be debited from the creator's future payouts or outstanding balance. Repeated refund incidents may trigger additional account review.

5. Moderation and Enforcement

Hytale Depot may moderate, reject, quarantine, or remove content for legal, security, policy, or quality reasons.

We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in repeated violations, severe abuse, or confirmed piracy.

Moderation and security actions are logged for operational and audit purposes.

6. Availability and Changes

Platform features may change, be deprecated, or enter maintenance mode when required for stability or security.

Service availability is not guaranteed and may be interrupted by incidents, upgrades, or external provider failures.

Material policy updates will be published on the platform with an effective date.

7. Liability and Support Scope

Except where required by law, marketplace software is provided as-is, without implied guarantees of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a specific use case.

Creators are responsible for the functionality and support commitments of their own listings unless explicitly stated otherwise by Hytale Depot.

Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable consumer protections required by applicable law.

8. Plugin & Mod Security Scanner

Hytale Depot provides an optional client-side security scanner for JAR and ZIP files (the "Scanner"). The Scanner runs entirely in your browser — no file is uploaded to Hytale Depot servers.

Scan results are provided for informational purposes only. A "clean" result does not constitute a guarantee of safety. Hytale Depot is not liable for any harm caused by files that pass or fail the Scanner.

Users may optionally save and share scan summaries. Saved summaries are stored under your account and may be deleted at any time from your account settings. You are responsible for the accuracy of any scan results you share publicly.

Advanced scan features are gated by creator plan. Feature availability may change as the Scanner is updated.

9. Intellectual Property and Submissions

You retain ownership of your submissions, while granting Hytale Depot a non-exclusive license to host, process, and display content for platform operations.

You represent that uploaded content does not infringe third-party rights and that you are authorized to distribute it.
